The classical and mythological themes of Sadik's sculptures are the most extensive and challenging of any meerschaum carver. Sadik has carved nearly 1,000 different styles during his career. The Yanik Collection is always interesting and varied in theme and composition.
Sadik's inspiration is the exquisite artistry of master carvers from the past. He has visited many museums in Europe and studied books of antique meerschaum collections. In 1978, Sadik began a formal apprenticeship under his father Master Carver Hüseyin as a young boy of 13. He continued his training under Yunus Ege and Dilâver Çelebi for four years, where his training in portraiture intensified. His father continued to mentor Sadik until his retirement in 1988. Sadik's sculpting skills are also in high demand as a mold maker.
